TWO  VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIALS FROM NOW UNTIL JANUARY 31st
1/3/10

January Is Here.  And That Means Only Six Weeks Until Valentine's Day!

Special Offer One includes both your sitting and an 11x14 MASTER CRAFTSMAN luster finish print for only $375. (With full retouching, of course.) That's a $185 (1/3rd) savings over normal pricing.

Special Offer Two is a glamour or fine art nude album of eight  images (or more if desired) up to 8x10" in size (we often vary the size and proportions of some album images as appropriate, for dramatic effect). Images include retouching, of course (which encompases everything from blemish and line softening and removal, to mild "silhouette refinement" as needed, as well as overall image enhancement).  An album package (eight Master Craftsman album prints), including the session fee, begins normally at $1550, but is priced for this special at $1150 (a 25% savings), and can be expanded to include additional image prints at just $90 each.  The actual albums themselves are not included in the package price, as various album options can differ in cost. Album prices begin around $150.

This is one of only two occasions throughout the year for specially priced sitting-with-print offers, and must be booked before January 31st. Give us a call at 775.356.5550 to discuss your options.

What If There Isn't Time To Complete My Print Order Before Valentine's Day?

There is no getting around it, quality does take time, and for some occassions, there just isn't enough of it to complete an order by the time you need it.  We ordinarily can deliver finished prints within three weeks (sometimes even sooner) of making your selections for printing, but if you're reading this in late January, we may run out of time by February 14th.

We offer a unique option to solve this not uncommon dilemma. In fact, we can photography you only one week before your deadline, and you'll have a gift in hand by the day of your event!

Here's our solution: First, call the studio to set up a consultation appointment so we can plan the photography, wardrobe, etc., and set the date for your sitting.

Then, one or two days after your sitting, you'll view the results of your session and pick images for printing.  In a few days,  we'll have a small, unretouched print from your sitting, presented in an elegant gift box or folder to act as a stand-in for the finished prints.

Now you won't be empty handed when you need a gift to give, and we'll have the time we need to complete your order properly.

Give a Gift Certificate!

If you've run out of ideas for unique gifts, we have gift certificates!

Available beginning at $100, denominations advance in $25 increments. Or, we can provide you with a certificate for any amount you specify, or even for a specific product or service instead of a specified dollar value. (Ask for details, 356.5550.)

Each personalized certificate is a special treat in itself, packaged in its own elegant  box or folder!

THE SARTORIALIST'S PHOTO BLOG

This post about The Sartorialist was originally intended only for our senior's blog, where it impacts that style of photography the most. Yet the philosophy behind this blog might be of interest when putting together one's wardrobe for other kinds of photography, too, so I've put it here in the News section as well.

Scott Schuman, Blogmaster of  The Sartorialist, has been involved in the fashion industry for many years. Since 2005, however, he has traveled the globe documenting how fashion ends up after it hits the streets, on the backs of real people, in places like NYC, Paris, Milan, South Beach and other large urban areas. It can all be seen on The Sartorialist.

It doesn't matter whether one's inspiration comes from the pages of Vogue or Nylon magazine, the basics of contrast, texture and scale are the same no matter what the style, and that's where the strength 0f what Mr. Schumann does, lies. As for style itself, there's certainly something for almost every taste, from the subtle to the highly inventive, and to the highly outrageous!
