SESSION
PRICING
We normally base our senior sessions
around
outdoor photography, as nearly 100% of our seniors choose
outdoor sessions exclusively.
Our shooting
location can be makeup artist Gaynel Linn's property in
rural Spanish Springs, where we photograph often because of the great
scenery, or other local outdoor locations in the
Reno/Sparks area. This includes as far west as Verdi. (Some more
distant locations are available for a small travel fee.)
__________
Two
Hour Outdoor Morning or
Evening
Session, with Makeup. $195
Makeup and hair takes about one hour,
with about two hours--sometimes a bit more-- left for our location
shooting.
Gaynel
is with us throughout to keep your makeup fresh, of course.
Add an
hour
of studio time, with makeup, for $90.
With makeup time, this will make a total
of four + hours altogether, but
allow
about 4-1/2+ hours total due
to travel time between the studio and our outdoor locations.
__________
THE SPLIT SESSION
A split session is similar
to choosing both the sessions above, but scheduling them far enough
apart that you'd like to begin ordering prints from the first session
before the second session has been completed.
With a split session, you
can schedule two photo sessions months apart, such
as winter/spring, or
studio now, outdoors later, begin ordering prints before the second
session has been done, but not lose the price advantage that you'd have
by ordering one larger order later instead of two smaller orders, each
placed at different times.
Our solution is to combine a
"starter" Print Collection with the
Split Session photography package. (This is often the smallest
collection, Collection One, but any collection that best fits
your immediate needs may be substituted.)
Keep in mind this
smaller print collection does not reflect the better pricing
you'll eventually receive
|
|

when you
later place your final order. This is because as
Print Collections grow in size, the individual print costs within each
collection drops. So the starter collection only acts as a bank from
which you may draw the prints you need now, with the individual print
costs adjusted downward later, when you place the final order following
your second session..
Later, after the
second photography session has been completed and you are ready to make
a final decison on a collection that will cover your needs for both
sessions, we credit the cost of the smaller collection against the
larger collection, and simply adjust the quantity of prints remaining
to reflect what you've already ordered. This gives you the cost benefit
of the larger
collection for everything ordered previously.
The cost of the split
session is $285 (including makeup by an independent photographic
makeup specialist for both
sessions), plus the cost of whichever print collection you choose as
the
starter collection.

CHOOSING A MAKEUP ARTIST
We
firmly believe Gaynel is the best choice as makeup artist. There are a
lot of makeup artists in town, but very few who are professional
photographic makeup artists.. If you prefer someone
other than Gaynel, we urge you to choose someone specifically
experienced in the specialized field of photographic makeup (please note
that most salon makeup artists are not versed in photograpic makeup),
since street makeup is very
different from what is necessary for photography. If
complexion problems are of concern, we cannot stress this strongly
enough, since insufficient makeup can require additional retouching
costs.
