We generally have openings for one Senior Model
Representative each from Spanish Springs, McQueen and Reed, for each
season's Senior Marketing Campaign. Interviews
take place mid to late March, with an outdoor photo session for our
reps as early in April as the weather warms and things begin turning
green (we want you to have as much time to show your new photographs to
friends before the school year ends). Thanks for your interest, but
this year's rep positions for 2011
grads are closed. If you're a 2012 grad, however, you may submit
an
application for next Spring's rep positions at any time.
A Model Rep
promotes, through their naturally outgoing and friendly
personality, our senior portrait services to other
students. We photograph our reps early in
the season and provide them
with marketing materials from their session to aid in promoting the
studio. This
photography is done as soon as possible--preferrably, early to
mid-April-- to ensure reps will
have their session photos and other promotional materials for at least
a month before summer break. Of course, our weather sometimes
gets in the way of all this going smoothly, so getting that session
scheduled may require pulling it together on fairly short notice once
the weather does warm and things start turning green!
There are several valuable benefits for our Reps!
TO START, A HALF PRICED SESSION AND A PRO
MAKEUP ARTIST!
First, your senior
portrait session with professional makeup is only $100! This is a $95
savings
by
itself. And BTW, the makeup artist is Gaynel Linn, an
independent commercial photographic
makeup artist ("commercial" and "photographic" are the key words here!).
A FREE STARTER COLLECTION OF PRINTS
You'll receive a free
starter
Collection print package of 2-5x7s, plus 16 wallets (along
with the necessary retouching and
enhancements for one image file). But remember, that's just the
beginning collection--you can add to that collection either with
credits earned from your
referral bookings, or by purchasing additional prints outright at
special Model Rep pricing based on the add-on
pricing for the largest print collection (the largest collection
has the best pricing for add-ons).
PERSONALIZED REFERRAL CARDS
To actually generate your
referrals,
you receive personalized referral cards that you can
give to friends
at school. These let you
to
earn credit toward
more photographs when friends book their senior session
using your referral card. (They also earn 16 free
wallets for themselves when they use your referral card to book their
session!)
A FOLIO WITH PRINT IMAGES TO SHOW AND WEB IMAGES FOR YOUR
FACEBOOK/MYSPACE SITES
You'll
also
receive a folio containing five 4x5 print images to show at school, as
well as
a set of
Web-optimized images with our logo to post online. These
should assist you in promoting the studio and earning additional
image prints, or credit toward those image prints.
The savings from the half-priced photo
session with makeup, along
with the initial set of
prints
you receive in your starter collection, all together have an ala carte
value of nearly $300. And you can of course
increase the value you receive from your rep status through credits
earned from the
referrals you make!
A
key part of a Senior Model Rep's promotional work relies on the ability
to reach out and spread the word about Hildebrand Studio with their
friendly, natural enthusiasm, rather than trying to "sell" our
photography. Our philosophy considers that when potential
clients who would be a good fit with our style of photography actually
see our work, the quality of the work sells itself. So our reps don't
need to "sell" anything, they need only show our work, and answer
questions about how they felt about working with us as a studio. That's
where the rep's personality and enthusiasm comes into play, but
really--it's all very low-key!
We
want to capture a wide-range of images of you, so having a good
wardrobe of different looks is a great plus. You don't need expensive
clothes for this--just a collection that you wear with style!
It's your personality and personal style that helps make your
photograph
unique, and it
always makes a great photograph when that all comes through in the
clothes you wear and personality you project! Something we try to do
with all our senior women are some photographs outdoors in an
elegant, formal
dress, so having one available is
helpful.
Lastly, while your session will be primarily about what you want from your senior
portraits, we may want to add a couple things like the formal
dress, and perhaps an activity or two you may be involved with but
might not ordinarily ask to have included in your senior portraits. We
want you to enjoy these additions to your session just as much as what
you'd normally want to do. In short, the best thing a model rep can be
during photography is a real ham, and
just enjoy being in front of a camera!
Well, please first discuss this with your parents, as they may have
some questions! If they do, or if you have any, just phone the studio
at 356.5550. Then with your parent's ok, send the application!
Once we
receive your application, we'll contact you very shortly to set up
an appointment (along with at least one
parent) to come in for an interview. We'll also have more
detailed information for you at that time. We're starting interviews
the first week of April (March 30th through April 6th!), so you'll have
your photographs in hand and be ready to go by
the first of May!
